Edld 5366 Week 1 Ancient Manuscript

This week was about the use of  CRAP: Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity in publications. The picture above is from 1110 and is an account of the life of a Monk. The first thing I noticed about this ancient work is the use of color and the picture.

Upon further examination using the CRAP model I noticed
1. Contrast: The use of different fonts and the use of different colors.
2. Repetition: The book is divided into 2 columns with a picture and section heading in different colors, font size and font.
3. Alignment: The columns are very uniform with the same font used for all content.
4. Proximity: I noticed the box on the bottom, while I can't read it I assume it is placed on this page because of its relevance to the content above. Such as a footnote we would use today.

The author took great care and detail to make the fonts different for the headings and content. The picture is very intricate and shows the time and care put into the work.

EDLD 5363 Web Conferences

The web conferences I attended were very helpful. I was using the syllabus located under the resources tab during week 2 conference I found out this was the old syllabus and where to locate the new one. The last web conference was very helpful with information for our action research plan and internship hours.

Music with Introduction

Project Leading the Way is a program utilizing science, engineering, technology, and math to develop skills for college readiness.
There will be an experiment done in our class today with a student of science and a student of mathematics working as a cooperative group.
The project will be that of a tin can robot. This is a form of project based learning.
However, this is just one of the projects of the several projects used to develop these skills. In late 2012, the Perot Museum opened in Dallas, Texas. The museum is a laboratory based museum catered to children to develop stem disciplines. There are various projects showcasing children working on building and using higher level thinking skills at beginning and intermediate levels.
Our society is immersed in vast amounts of technology and improvements being made daily with the use of skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Thus, Project Lead the Way will develop these skills for college readiness in various career paths.
